With the tie die trend that is happening right now, it made me think of all of our old Bandhani outfits growing up. Bandhani is a type of tie die that involves plucking the cloth to create unique patterns.
I love this orange and pink bandhani outfit we have. Unfortunately, the blouse is very faded. I wanted to think of a way to wear this beautiful lehenga skirt without wearing the matching blouse. An oversized white t-shirt, a lehenga bottom with silver jewelry is perfect for a casual garba look. Just replacing the top makes the outfit look brand new, even though its decades old!
Since most lehengas back in the day had a tie string, it’s okay if you gain/lose weight. These are timeless and most of the time it will still fit you because of the draw string feature. Pull out your vintage pieces, even if your blouse doesn’t fit you anymore, faded, or broken. Most lehenga skirts will still fit you and changing one aspect of the outfit will set you apart.
